Live from the Living Room EP45: Where we're at and where we're going

Thanks for feedback about which song I should put out as my ‘first’ single. I’m overwhelmed by the response and it just reminds me of what an amazing community we have here. I can’t tell you how special it feels to me to open my Facebook app every Friday and every Tuesday, hit that GO LIVE button and be able to hang out with my friends.

12 months ago, I was really shooting in the dark but now, thanks to you guys I feel like I’m really happy and now where I’m heading. That’s helped in no small part by you guys getting behind me and letting me know which song you think I should release as my first single.

So on that matter, there’s been no clear ‘winner’ from the responses. Which to be honest is lovely for me to know that a range of my songs resonate for different reasons.

So what I will say is, having thought a lot about it, it doesn’t matter at all which song I put out first. The reason being as I’ve said recently, I’m planning to release them all every month / every couple of months on a consistent basis. And the idea is to hopefully do that with my songs INDEFINITELY.

What I’m saying is, I’m not planning on putting all my eggs in one basket, spending loads of money on a music video, radio promo for one or two songs and hoping to get ‘noticed’ by someone of influence in the music industry.

I’ve already been ‘noticed’ by you, and honestly, that’s what really matters. If I can sustainably attract an audience to Facebook, get tip jar hits, sell some CDs that’s how I can do this, grow and keep on doing this.

There you go, 100% transparency!

What I will add to that, is there I’m going to put out a full studio album after I’ve done two or 3 singles and there’ll be a cool ‘experience’ around that - not just a CD. It will be something that will be really exciting.
